About us

East Kent Training Hub is a network of health care organisations working together to secure the primary and community care workforce for the future in order to improve the quality of care for our patients, families and friends.

 

We address the changing landscape of 'out of hospital' care by facilitating the work of health and social care providers. We support recruitment and retention in general practice, workforce planning at scale and develop a strategic and consistent approach to multi-professional education and training.

East Kent Training Hub covers Ashford, Canterbury & Coastal, South Kent Coast and Thanet Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs). We support 85 GP surgeries, two new model of care centres (an NHS Vanguard Site and a Primary Care Home) and pharmacies. Our work aligns with the East Kent Strategic Transformation Partnership (STP) Footprint. In time, provision and support will include other Primary Care and Community Care agencies such as care and nursing homes, community trusts, patients and carers.
