About this Event
"The child may not remember but the body remembers."
RESILIENCE, a one-hour documentary by KPJR Films, traces the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences, from the seminal 1998 ACE Study to the growth of a whole movement to treat and prevent Toxic Stress. It investigates the detrimental impact that ACEs can have on health – in childhood and beyond - see trailer .
"If you can get the science into the hands of the general population, they will invent very wise actions."
As part of the 'Making Kent & Medway ACE Aware' programme, our aim for these events is to bring statutory, voluntary and community together, and to help generate the 'very wise actions' we hope will lead to lasting, whole-system change and the prevention of childhood adversity.
(‘Making Kent and Medway ACE Aware’ is multi agency partnership led by Kent County Council Public Health , NHS England, the Academy of Public Health and Wave Trust.)
