The Bridging the Gap to Leadership project started in February 2021 and is a
collaborative project between Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) and the
University of Brighton (UOB). Funded by Health Education England (HEE), the project
has enabled CCCU to gain a deeper insight into the experiences of Black, Asian,
Mixed Heritage and Minority Ethnic students undertaking practice placements in
Health and Social Care settings.
The Bridging the Gap to Leadership project is intrinsically linked to the ongoing work
at CCCU as part of the Closing Our Gap strategic commitments to addressing the
attainment gap and addressing racial inequalities in higher education.
