The training will cover the relevant theory and practical knowledge needed to perform accurate, quality assured measurements according to the latest national guidance (please see attached flyer below for further dates and course content).
The training will provide you with the basis to apply to undertake the ARTP certificate of competence which leads to being on the National Register.
There are various levels of assessment available including ‘Performing Adult’, ‘Full Adult’, ‘Reporting Adult’ or there are paediatric options available, you only need to complete the one relevant to your practice. Costs vary from £175 to £240, depending on which assessment you register for. From enrolment, you will have six-months to complete all the assessment elements. Assessment includes a portfolio of evidence including details on verification, biological control, infection control and patient testing, a multiple-choice exam for those undertaking interpretation of spirometry results and a practical assessment for those undertaking the performance element.
