The Royal College of General Practitioners’ Prevent e-learning module is now available to all users:
The e-learning has been developed specifically for GPs and introduces Prevent, explains the important role of primary care in Prevent and offers information on spotting the signs of radicalisation.
This e-learning differs from other Prevent training products as it provides both GP-specific case studies and a form of words to enable GPs to have effective conversations with individuals at risk of radicalisation, something which has been specifically requested by GPs in the past. The training also highlights the unique service that GPs provide as they often act as the first point of contact for other health services.
The course is 30 minutes in duration and is worth 50 credits which contributes to a practitioners’ Continued Professional Development log.
